OT Students Present Research at the Florida Occupational Therapy Association Conference
FGCU Occupational Therapy students under the mentorship of Dr. Annemarie Connor, presented their research and fieldwork interventions at the Florida Occupational Therapy Association conference.
Assistive Soft Skills and Employment Training (ASSET) both college and high school groups presented along with Employment Preparation and Skills Support (EPASS). All three groups are directed at providing practical work-related skills training for young adults with autism.
Student researchers noted, “The attendees loved our intervention and concept!”. Student research groups help to further the mission of FGCU Community Autism Network (CAN) by contributing to evidenced based services and providing educational opportunities for individuals in the autism community.
