FGCU Alert

This is not an emergency. The University Police Department is conducting a training exercise with a simulator that portrays the sound of gunshots from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, June 7, in the Campus Support Complex and the Arts Complex. Florida Bright Futures Scholarship Program

The Florida Bright Futures Scholarship is a Florida lottery-funded scholarship program that rewards students for their academic achievements during high school by offering funding for the pursuit of postsecondary educational and career goals in Florida. 

Graduate School Funding 

A Bright Futures Academic Scholars recipient or a Bright Futures Medallion Scholars scholarship recipient, who graduates with a baccalaureate degree in seven or fewer semesters, or in 105 semester hours or fewer, may receive funding for one semester of graduate study, not to exceed 15 credit hours paid at the undergraduate rate*. Graduate school funding must be used within the applicable scholarship length.

* Bright Futures will pay rates per credit hour as follows:

Florida Academic Scholars Award $205.69 per credit hour.

Florida Medallion Scholars Award $154.26 per credit hour.
