Waitlisting

Waitlisting is functionality on course sections that allows students to add themselves to a waitlist when the section is full.  When a seat in the class becomes available, the first student on the waitlist will receive a notification by email inviting them to register.  Waitlisted students are notified on a "first-come-first-serve" basis, and once the notification is received, they will have 24 hours to register for the course. If they fail to register for the course within 24 hours, they will no longer be eligible to register. Waitlisting is not registration or enrollment in the courses.

To Add Yourself to the Waitlist of a Section:

  • Add a class in Gulfline
  • If the class is closed and has waitlist functionality, a registration error box will appear at the top of the screen indicating the section is closed and the number of students currently on the waitlist.

  • In the Summary box, select “Waitlisted” from the Action drop-down menu then click "Submit".

Note - Upon submission, the section status will change to Waitlisted

To Check on the Status of Waitlisted Section in Gulfline:

  • From the Registration dashboard, select "View Registration Information"
  • In the Class Schedule window, select the correct term from the Term drop-down
  • Click on "Schedule Details" to see your position on the waitlist.

To Register for a Waitlisted Class After Receiving Notification

When a seat becomes available, you will receive an email notification in your Eagle Mail with detailed information. You will only have 24 hours from the date/timestamp on the e-mail notification to register yourself for the course.

If you are waitlisted for a course, it is recommended that you check your Eagle Mail daily and regularly. You can also check the Student Detail Schedule section in Gulfline to see information on your waitlist status, including the exact time your notification expires.

Steps To Register

  • Login to Gulfline
  • Select "Plan & Register for Classes" from the Student Services dashboard
  • Select “Register for Classes”
  • Choose a term from the drop-down
  • Find the section in the Summary box
  • Under the Action drop-down menu, Select “Web Registered”
  • Click Submit to save.
