Students in the English MA Have Many Opportunities to Get Involved Not Only With University Programs and Clubs, but at Conferences Too!
Publications:
The Mangrove Review is a university sponsored, student-run literary journal featuring poetry, narratives (both fiction and creative non-fiction), and artwork. We accept submissions from students, alumni, FGCU faculty and staff, and the greater FGCU community.
Aquila The FGCU Student Research Journal publishes exceptional student scholarship from all academic disciplines and levels of study at Florida Gulf Coast University.
Clubs:
Sigma Tau Delta is FGCU’s chapter of the national English Honors Society. For more information, please contact our faculty advisor, Allison Dieppa (amdieppa@fgcu.edu).

On Campus Involvement:
English MA students work with The FGCU Writing Lab, a free service available to all FGCU students, faculty, and staff. Acting as writing consultants, MA students provide one-on-one sessions answering questions about papers and presentations. The overall goal is to help the writer become more confident and to serve as a valuable resource. MA students also offer workshops on a range of writing-related topics, and a broad selection of handouts developed specifically for the FGCU community.
To get involved with the Writing Lab, MA students must be approved through the Graduate Assistant program. Learn more here
