Decals and Permits

Visitors to the University must obtain a pass from the Information Booth located at the main entrance of FGCU, if the Information Booth is closed go to the Welcome Center (turn first right) or University Police Department at the Campus Support Complex (turn right at the stop sign) to obtain a pass. 

Visitor passes must be hung from the rear-view mirror, or otherwise displayed on the dashboard with the permit number facing outward.

Visitor passes expire at 11:59pm on the same day of issue. Visitors must obtain a pass for each day they wish to park on campus.

Visitor Parking is allowed in the following locations: PG1, PG2, PG3, PG4, P5 (Student Plaza and Cohen Student Union)

Vehicle must be parked only in lots designated for the permit type.

No parking on the grass or curbs.

Reserved and restricted (Visitor, Volunteer, Disabled, state vehicle) spaces are enforced 24/7

Students receive the initial permit at no cost.

To avoid a replacement permit fee please review the expiration date on the front of your permit.

The GREEN 2024 Commuter Student permit is valid until August 31, 2024. The GREEN housing decals expire August 31, 2023.

Students may only have one valid parking permit type based on their housing status. If you have a valid commuter permit and move on campus you must return the commuter permit to exchange for a housing decal.  

Lost or stolen permits/decals will cost $30 ($28.17 + Sales Tax $1.83) to replace prior to expiration date. Review expiration date on permit/decal.

Commuter & Off-Campus Housing Students 

The hanging permits distributed to commuter students must be hung from the rear-view mirror, or otherwise displayed on the dashboard, with the permit number facing outward, so that it may be read from the front of the vehicle.

On-Campus Housing Students

Decals are distributed to Student Housing residents and must be fully permanently affixed from the inside, mid-way down the driver's corner of the front windshield. If it is NOT fully affixed to the windshield you will be cited for improper placement of the decal. A decal must be displayed to park in housing.

Commuter Students are able to park in the following locations: PG1, PG2, PG3, PG4, P6, P7, P8

Vehicle must be parked only in lots designated for the permit type.

Housing students must leave their vehicles parked in the following locations: PGB (SoVi) and 'R' lots in both South Village and North Lake Village. 

Vehicle must be parked only in lots designated for the permit type.

Decal and Permit Fraud is a Serious offense and results in a fine of $100.00.

The offense includes but is not limited to:

• Falsifying information when registering your vehicle in order to receive a permit.
• Using a Decal or permit that was not issued to you.
• Creating duplicate Decals or permits.
• Obtaining permit/decal not approved for your residence status. Housing students must obtain housing decal.

USER GUIDE

Employees may pay by check, credit card payments or through payroll reduction on the FGCU Parking Portal.

Payroll Reduction is available for Faculty/Staff Annual and Reserved permits only.

You must pick up your permit from Parking Services located on the ground-floor of McTarnaghan Hall in the Enrollment Services Center or submit a copy of your permit receipt through inter-office mail to obtain your permit.
