Two books on assessing teacher skills and dispositions were been published by Corwin Press; papers have been published in a variety of national and international journals, including major journals in the teacher education field, such as the Journal of Teacher Education, Teachers College Record, Educational Policy Analysis Archives, Practical Assessment Research and Evaluation, Quality Assurance in Education, and Issues and Practices in Measurement in Education.

Presentations have been made at a variety of national and regional associations including the American Association of Colleges of Teacher Education and the national and regional affiliate of the American Association of Educational Research. Dr. Wilkerson has also presented internationally in Mexico and the Philippines.
