Dedicated Support From an FGCU Navigator
Navigators provide support to remove barriers for adult, returning and non-traditional students. As students return to higher education after any time away, Navigators "navigate" the student through all things pre-admission to graduation — policies, procedures, enrollment, referrals, etc. A key component is finding the most efficient route to graduation, but with keen emphasis on the career needs of students, whether they are looking to promote their current employability or searching for a more marketable career.
A Non-traditional Student Can Be Someone Who...
- May work full-time (35 hours or more per week) while enrolled
- Attends courses part time for a portion of each academic year
- Served time in the military
- Returns to college after prolonged absence
- Seeks to attend courses outside of regular business hours
- Delayed enrollment into postsecondary education
